ZONES Art Fair Miami 2006 organized by Edge Zones will take place at The World Arts Building, 2214 N. Miami Ave. in Wynwood, located next to Miami’s leading galleries and a few blocks from the Rubell Family Art Collection, the Margulies Collection, and the four other fairs. The 25,000 square feet arts complex houses Edge Zones’ nine galleries, artists’ studios and video theater. The entire building will be converted into a fair. The fair will be divided by different sections or Zones, each with a different curated exhibition: Videos, Paintings, Photography, Sculpture, Performance and more.

The hallmark of this inaugural fair will be ZONES’ one person and thematic group shows juxtaposed with museum-quality programming, screenings and special events. The selection embraces established and emerging artists.

A fully illustrated book published by Edge Zones, Miami, will follow the fair.

A breakfast reception will be held Dec. 7, from 8-1 pm; there will be food and drinks sponsored by Bacardi on Saturday Dec. 9, 8 – 11 pm. A courtesy bus will pick up visitors each morning at 10 am at 17th St. and James Street, Miami Beach.

Edge Zones is a nonprofit institution that organizes a regularly scheduled exhibition program, publishes books and catalogues, and develops education programs to promote the development of art in Miami nationally as well as internationally through cultural exchanges since 2003.
